Michelin star and Michelin Bib Gourmand
Event month: changes annually
Arguably the most prestigious culinary accolade in the world, the list of Michelin stars celebrates the best culinary experience available for discerning gourmets.
The restaurants are classified according to a star classification, and the gastronomic paradise of Singapore has a whole constellation of restaurants that have won a wink.
The list of entries for 2019 saw 44 entries awarded, an increase from 39 in 2018. Odette and Les Amis, restaurants famous for their French cuisine, were each awarded three Michelin stars.

Other pillars on the list include Candlenut, the only Michelin-starred Peranakan * restaurant in the world, and Burnt Ends, which serves cuisine inspired by Australian barbecue.
Gourmets looking for world-class standards at affordable prices should consult the Michelin Bib Gourmand awards for a list of dishes not to be missed (capped at $ 45 maximum). Local restaurants that have won a spot include Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice – which serves one of Singapore’s most iconic hawker dishes – and Whole Earth, a vegetarian restaurant in Singapore for foodies of all stripes.
For great deals on the Michelin price, be sure to check out GastroMonth. Taking place from November 1 to 30, this month-long event offers specially selected menus in Michelin-starred restaurants such as Saint Pierre, Corner House, and Shinji.
